Some of my favourite photographers - Sian Davey
I've been a bit absent on this blog for a while, so thought I'd start again and share some of my favourite photographers over the next few weeks.
Today I thought I'd share some work by Sian Davey.
Sian Davey is a photographer with a background in Fine Art and Social Policy. She used to run private Psychotherapy practice, but now dedicates her time to her photography practice. Her work is an investigation of the psychological, social and political landscapes of both herself and those around her.
Sian has been the recipient of numerous awards including two years running the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, The Lens Culture Emerging Photographer Award and recently the Arnold Newman Award in New Directions of Portraiture.
Her first book, ‘Looking for Alice’ published by Trolley Books has also won numerous awards.
